Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the VALOR Collective website at valorcollective.ca and all services provided by VALOR Collective ("we," "us," or "our"). By accessing our website, creating an account, or booking services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

Services Overview

VALOR Collective provides personal protection, secure transport, event support, and related services in the Greater Edmonton Area and surrounding communities. All services are delivered by licensed, vetted, and trained personnel.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age to use our services, create a membership account, or make a booking. By using our services, you represent that you meet this requirement.

Memberships

VALOR Collective offers tiered membership plans (Essential, Preferred, Elite, and Black Card). By subscribing to a membership:

  • You authorize recurring charges at the applicable rate for your selected tier.
  • Memberships renew automatically at the end of each billing cycle (monthly or annually) unless cancelled.
  • Memberships can be adjusted or cancelled with 30 days written notice.
  • Refunds are not provided for partial billing periods after cancellation takes effect.
  • Black Card memberships are by invitation or approved application only and are subject to additional terms communicated at the time of activation.

Booking and Cancellation

  • All services require a minimum one-hour booking.
  • A minimum of 6 hours advance notice is required for all bookings.
  • Cancellations made with less than 6 hours notice may be subject to a cancellation fee equal to one hour of service at your tier rate.
  • VALOR Collective reserves the right to decline or cancel a booking at our discretion if we determine the engagement poses an unreasonable risk to our personnel.

Pricing and Payment

  • Service rates are determined by your membership tier as outlined on our Memberships page.
  • Mileage is calculated from Edmonton city limits to the service location and is charged both ways.
  • All rates are subject to applicable GST.
  • Multi-day assignments and monthly retainer programs are available by custom quote.
  • Payment is processed through our secure payment processor. We accept credit cards and other methods as indicated at checkout.
  • VALOR Collective reserves the right to update pricing with 30 days notice to active members.

Client Responsibilities

By using our services, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information on intake and booking forms.
  • Treat all VALOR Collective personnel with respect and professionalism.
  • Not engage in or request any illegal activity during the provision of services.
  • Disclose any known safety concerns or threats relevant to the service engagement.
  • Comply with all reasonable instructions provided by our personnel during service delivery.

Confidentiality

VALOR Collective maintains strict confidentiality regarding all client information, service details, and engagement specifics. Our personnel are bound by non-disclosure obligations. We expect the same discretion from our clients regarding our operational methods, personnel identities, and proprietary processes.

Limitation of Liability

VALOR Collective provides personal protection and support services to the best of our professional ability. However:

  • We do not guarantee the prevention of all security incidents or threats.
  • Our liability is limited to the fees paid for the specific service engagement in question.
  • We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from the use of our services.
  • We are not responsible for circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, road conditions, third-party actions, or government restrictions.

Intellectual Property

All content on the VALOR Collective website, including text, images, logos, graphics, and design elements, is the property of VALOR Collective and is protected by Canadian copyright and trademark laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use any content without our prior written consent.

Website Use

You agree not to:

  • Use our website for any unlawful purpose.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of our website, member portals, or systems.
  • Share your membership login credentials or Black Card access code with unauthorized individuals.
  • Interfere with the security or functionality of our website.

The VALOR Protection Fund

Donations to The VALOR Protection Fund are voluntary and non-refundable. Funds are directed toward supporting women and children leaving domestic violence situations and vulnerable individuals seeking a safer path forward. VALOR Collective manages the allocation of fund resources at our discretion.

Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your membership or access to our services at any time if you violate these Terms, engage in conduct that endangers our personnel, or fail to meet payment obligations. In the event of termination for cause, no refund will be provided.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any disputes arising from these Terms or our services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Alberta.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of our website or services after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
